Greg and Karyn Michaels have been licensed opticians in the Western New York area for 36 and 28 years respectively. They opened up their flagship store, Michaels Eyecare, Inc. in 2007 in the front of their home as a way to continue doing what they love, providing the community with eyewear that “fits their needs”, while raising their six children. Michaels Eyecare has grown from starting in this small space, to moving right down the street from where they began. Currently located at 555 Delaware Street in Tonawanda. But they always felt like something was missing.
Eyephoria, Inc has been a dream of Greg and Karyn Michaels for many years. This is their second optical in the Western New York area, but the first of this new concept, located at 9560 Main Street, Suite 10 in Clarence, NY – directly across from Clarence High School.
INSURANCES:
At Eyephoria, we don’t accept any vision or health insurance. Why?? Insurances dictate what our mark up has to be and what we have to charge the patient, as well as what products we are able to use – all while paying us a small fraction of what each patients allowance/benefit is. Greg and Karyn wanted to be able to bypass these stipulations, bringing the Western New York area Stylish, Unique, and Quality eyewear at affordable prices. Don’t get scared by the fact that we don’t accept insurance. You will find very competitive prices at Eyephoria, and you will also be able to submit your receipt to your health/vision insurance for any out-of-network reimbursements you may qualify for, lowering your overall cost even more.
